A residency certificate is a document produced by Thai Immigration to officially certify where a foreigner lives. Valid for 30 days from date of issue, uses for residency certificates include:
- Greenbook transfer (used motorcycle or vehicle change of ownership)
- Purchase of new car or motorbike
- Driving license application (existing license classes)
- Driver test (new class i.e. M-class)

Requirements
- 2 color passport photos (1.5 in x 2.36 in or 4 cm x 6 cm, white or blue background)
- photocopy of passport photo page, visa and TM6
- Original passport
- Proof of residence: rental contract OR letter from landlord
